Move in Certified Criteria
The criteria for Move In Certified is simple. With the pre-listing home inspection, the seller confirms that:
- There are no major systems in need of immediate repair or replacement
- There are no known safety hazards
Repair criteria
In order to meet the above criteria the home must be in working order. None of the following items can not be in need of immediate repair or replacement:
- Foundation
- Grading & drainage
- Roof covering and structure
- Electrical System
- Plumbing System
- Water Heater
- Heating and Cooling Equipment
- Air distribution ducting
- Attic insulation
- Range, cook top or oven
- Dishwasher
- Other built-in appliances
Safety criteria
To consider a home free of any safety hazards, the home must meet the following criteria:
- Structure must be sound
- Smoke detectors must be in proper locations
- Electrical GFCI outlets must be functional and in proper locations
- Stair railings must be safe and in proper locations
- Decks and balconies must be safe and structurally sound
- Anything else the inspector deems a safety hazard
