About Home Inspections

marler_photo_kitchenA thorough and complete home inspection provides one with an expert opinion on the condition of the physical structure and various systems within a house, present at the time of the inspection. The inspection is a non-invasive limited visual examination of the inspected systems. It is not intended to be technically exhaustive, nor is it intended to identify every detail about the property as it is virtually impossible to fully profile any building. Home inspections in Texas must be performed in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) as a minimum standard. My services go beyond this standard.

The inspection process

The inspection process typically takes about 3-4 hours, varying according to the size and condition of the home. When the inspection is complete, the home inspector shares with the client any issues or concerns that were discovered, and gives the client a comprehensive written report that outlines all systems within the home and their condition.
