About Justin Marler
Justin Marler is a fourth generation builder and an expert in home improvement, energy efficiency, residential construction, and property inspections. His 16 years of experience in the building trade began in a monastery in Alaska where he learned carpentry from monks, and helped design and build a monastery cloister. Since then Justin’s experience has ranged from residential remodeling, to fixing and flipping real estate properties, to residential building using sustainable green building practices. As a full time home inspector Justin combines his diverse background with a high level of professionalism.

Professional Home Inspector License
The home inspection industry is regulated by the Texas Real Estate Commission. The path to obtaining the Professional Home Inspector license is arduous, and the standards of practice that govern inspectors are thorough. TREC License #9846
HERS Energy Rater Certification
The national standard for residential energy efficiency has been set by RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network). A HERS Rater (Home Energy Rating System) is a highly skilled inspector certified by RESNET to perform energy rating on homes. These ratings include field verification and diagnostic testing to determine energy efficiency for Energy Star homes. Certificate #1998-103-BER-527
Termite & Wood Destroying Insect License
In the state of Texas, only a technician or certified applicator licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture
Structural Pest Control Service can inspect for and report on termites and wood destroying insects. As a licensed Certified Applicator I am qualified to perform WDI/termite inspections. TPCL #14075 and CA #46538
